How much does Christmas light installation cost in Missoula?
Most homes run $700 to $2,500 for a first season, which covers the lights, a custom design, installation, maintenance all season, takedown in January and storage. Small-home roofline packages start at $400. Returning customers pay less because the strands are already cut to the house. See the pricing page for package examples.
Do I have to buy the lights?
No. We supply commercial-grade C9 LED roofline strands, mini lights for trees and shrubs, and lit wreaths and garland. We keep them, test them and store them between seasons, so nothing lives in your garage and nothing is your problem when a strand fails.
When do you install?
Installs run from early October through mid-December, with the calendar filling by early November. Book by October 31 and your display is covered by our Lit by Thanksgiving Guarantee. We can install early and leave the timer off until you want them on.
What happens if a strand goes out?
Text or call us. Under our 48-Hour Repair Promise, we fix any outage, dead section or loose strand within 48 hours at no charge, all season. Commercial-grade LEDs and proper circuits mean this rarely happens, but when it does, it is on us.
Will the clips damage my shingles or gutters?
No. We use shingle-tab clips that slide under the shingle edge and gutter clips that hook the lip, both removed in January without a trace. We never staple, nail or screw into a roof, and we do not zip-tie to gutters, which is what bends them.
Can you install on a metal roof?
Yes. Standing-seam and corrugated metal roofs get seam clips or adhesive-backed mounts rated for cold, with strands run along the fascia or gutter line rather than the panel. Steep metal roofs are common on newer Bitterroot and Grant Creek homes, and they take a bit more time, which is reflected in the price.
What colors and bulb styles do you offer?
Warm white is the most popular by far, followed by multicolor, two-tone (warm white and red, or white and blue), and cool white. C9 bulbs go on rooflines, 5mm mini LEDs wrap trees and shrubs. We can mix styles across the property if you want a warm roofline and multicolor trees.
Do you install lights I already own?
No. We only install strands we supply, because we are the ones guaranteeing them. Retail lights fail in sub-zero cold, are not cut to the house, and would make our 48-hour promise impossible to keep. If you have a favorite display piece, we can usually work it into the design.
How much power do the lights use?
Very little. A full C9 LED roofline typically draws under two amps. We map outlets and circuits on the design visit, use outdoor-rated cords and GFCI-protected outlets, and put everything on a timer or photocell so the display runs itself from dusk until the hour you choose.
Can you install early and turn them on later?
Yes, and we recommend it. Rooflines are much easier to work before snow and ice arrive, so we often install in October and leave the timer off until you say go. Early booking also locks the best price and the guaranteed Thanksgiving date.
Do you do businesses, HOAs and neighborhoods?
Yes. Storefronts, restaurants, office parks, church and school entrances, HOA entry monuments and common areas. Neighborhood group bookings get a route-day discount when several homes on the same street sign up together.
What about permanent lighting?
We install track-mounted, app-controlled permanent LED systems under the eave. They are nearly invisible in daylight and run any color pattern year round: holidays, game days, or plain warm white accent lighting. It is a one-time installation with no seasonal fee afterward.
