Lit Wreaths, Garland and Accents for Missoula Homes

Pre-lit artificial wreaths on the gables and front door, LED garland along railings and window frames, all matched to the color of your roofline and installed on the same visit.

A roofline draws the eye up, and wreaths and garland bring it back down to the front door, which is where guests actually stand. We supply commercial-grade artificial wreaths from 24 to 60 inches across, each pre-lit with warm white or multicolor mini LEDs and wired with a bow if you want one. Garland comes in 9-foot lit sections that we join end to end along porch railings and around the front door casing. Everything is on the same photocell timer as the rest of the display, so the porch comes on with the roof at dusk. Because we own the pieces, the wreath that hangs on your gable this year goes into storage with your strands and returns next season.

Hanging a wreath sounds simple until it is a 48-inch wreath on a second-story gable in a Bitterroot wind. We mount large wreaths with a wire tie-back to a clip at the gable peak or to the gable trim, never with a screw into the siding, and we add a second anchor point on anything over 36 inches so it cannot spin or sail. Garland is attached to railings with zip ties and to window trim with removable clips. On downtown storefronts in Missoula and Hamilton we hang wreaths on the facade above the entry, which gives a shop its own identity on a block where every roofline is lit the same way. The pieces are included in your seasonal quote alongside the roofline.

Lit wreaths add roughly $75 to $250 each and garland about $12 to $20 per foot to a Missoula display, with size and mounting height driving the difference.

Why Us

Why Missoula Chooses Us for Wreaths, Garland & Accents

Matched to your roofline

The mini LEDs in our wreaths and garland come in the same warm white as our C9 roofline bulbs, so the porch and the roof read as one color temperature rather than two slightly different whites. If your roofline is multicolor, the accents can match that as well.

Sized for the wall it hangs on

A 24-inch wreath disappears on a two-story gable, and a 48-inch wreath overwhelms a front door. We carry sizes from 24 to 60 inches and pick the one that fits the proportions of each spot during the design visit, so nothing looks like an afterthought.

Anchored for wind

Every wreath over 36 inches gets two anchor points and a tie-back so it stays flat against the wall through a January gust. Garland is secured every 18 inches along a railing, which keeps it from sagging between posts once wet snow adds weight.

Nothing for you to store

Wreaths and garland take up more closet space than anyone expects, and they crush if stacked wrong. Ours go back to our shop in January with the rest of your display and come out again the following fall, inspected and ready to hang.

How It Works

Wreaths, Garland & Accents, Step by Step

Choose the spots

During the design visit we look at the gables and the front entry and suggest where a wreath or garland will carry its weight visually. Most homes use one or two wreaths and a run of garland.

Pick size and finish

You choose the wreath diameter and whether the LEDs are warm white or multicolor, and we add a bow if you want one. We bring samples to the visit so you can see the actual pine texture and light color against your siding.

Hang with the roofline

Wreaths and garland go up on the same day as your C9 roofline, wired into the same timer circuit. Gable wreaths are hung from the roof or a ladder with a tie-back, and door wreaths use an over-the-door hanger rather than a nail.

Down and stored in January

Accents come down with the rest of the display. Each wreath is bagged and each garland section coiled and tagged with your name, so the same pieces return to the same spots next season.

FAQs

Wreaths, Garland & Accents Questions, Answered

Are the wreaths real or artificial?
Artificial, and on purpose. A real wreath dries out within a few weeks in Missoula's dry winter air and cannot be pre-lit safely. Our commercial artificial wreaths use a dense mixed-needle construction that looks like fresh-cut fir from the sidewalk and holds its shape under snow, with built-in mini LEDs rated for outdoor cold. They also survive years of storage in our shop, which is part of why your returning-season price is lower than the first year.
Can I use my own wreath or garland?
We do not install customer-owned pieces, including wreaths. The reason is the same as with light strands: we cannot guarantee something we did not supply, and a customer wreath with a failed light set would put us in the position of repairing someone else's product under our 48-Hour Repair Promise. If you have a family wreath you love, hang it inside on the door where it stays dry, and let us handle the exterior pieces that face the weather.
How do you hang a wreath on a high gable without damaging the siding?
We never drive a screw or nail into siding for a wreath. On a gable we attach a wire tie-back to a shingle tab clip at the peak or loop it over the gable trim, then run a second line to the roofline strand clips so the wreath is held from two points. That keeps it centered and flat even when wind comes down the Bitterroot. When it comes down in January, the clips come with it and the siding is untouched.
Do the wreath and garland lights run on the same timer as the roof?
Yes. We wire the accents into the same photocell timer circuit as the roofline so everything comes on together at dusk and goes off at the hour you choose. Mini LEDs draw so little current that adding two wreaths and 40 feet of garland changes the load on the GFCI outlet by only a few watts. If a wreath is far from the rest of the display, we run a rated outdoor extension cord along the trim so it still shares the same switch.
