Christmas Light Installation in Seeley Lake, Montana

Seeley Lake is about an hour northeast of Missoula on Highway 83, so we run it as a dedicated route day and group every Seeley install onto the same trip.

Seeley Lake is an hour northeast of Missoula up Highway 83, and a large share of the homes on the lake and in the surrounding timber belong to people who are somewhere else in December. That is exactly the situation our full-service model was built for. Montana Lights, owned and operated by Constructive Brothers, a licensed and insured Missoula construction company, supplies commercial-grade LED lights cut to your cabin, installs them, maintains them through the season, and takes them down and stores them in January, whether you are in Seeley for the holidays or watching from a phone in another state.

Seeley properties are timber properties. Cabins along Boy Scout Road and around the lake sit under tall larch and lodgepole, and most have steep metal roofs designed to shed several feet of snow. Driveways are long and often unplowed until the owner arrives, and the nights get well below zero once the snow settles in. We plan Seeley installs for the first half of November, before the roofs are deep in snow. On metal we use slide-rated clips and keep the strands out of the path where roof snow lets go. For trees we wrap trunks and lower limbs with mini lights from a lift, which looks right against the timber and stays reachable for a repair.

Seeley Lake is far enough that we run it as its own route day and group every install up Highway 83 onto the same trip, which keeps the drive off your quote. Most Seeley homes fall between $900 and $2,500 the first season and less in returning seasons, since your strands are cut once and stored with us in Missoula. Book by October 31 for the Lit by Thanksgiving Guarantee. The 48-Hour Repair Promise applies here too. Call (406) 207-2524 for a free design visit, and we will work around your schedule if you are out of town.

Lighting Homes in Seeley Lake: What We Plan For

Owners who are not here

A lot of Seeley cabins are lit for family who arrive the week of Christmas, while the owner is in Missoula or Arizona until then. We handle the whole season without you present, send photos after install, and take it down in January before you have to think about it.

Deep snow and metal roofs

Seeley gets heavy snow, and the metal roofs on most cabins are built to dump it in one slide. A strand in the wrong place gets torn off with the first load. We run C9 lines at the eave with slide-rated clips and never across the field of the roof, so the snow goes over the lights.

Lakefront and Highway 83 views

Cabins on the lake are seen from the water and from the far shore, and homes along Highway 83 are seen by everyone driving through to the Swan. In both cases a simple, bright warm-white roofline carries much farther across open water or a dark highway than a busy multicolor scheme does.

FAQs

Seeley Lake Questions

I am not in Seeley Lake until Christmas week. Can you still do the install?
Yes, and that is the point of full service. After a free design visit, which we can do while you are away as long as we can get to the property, we install on a Seeley route day in November, test everything, set the timer, and send you photos. If anything fails before you arrive, the 48-Hour Repair Promise covers it. When you leave in January we take it down and store it in Missoula.
Does my driveway need to be plowed for the install?
It needs to be passable for a pickup and trailer with a lift on it. If nobody is at the cabin in November, arrange plowing before the route day or let us know and we will plan the install around a date when the driveway is open. Once the lights are up, plowing does not matter until takedown in January, when we need access again.
Is Seeley Lake more expensive because of the drive?
Not in a way you will notice. We bundle every Seeley install onto a dedicated route day, so the hour up Highway 83 is spread across several homes instead of charged to one. Most Seeley cabins land in the same $700 to $2,500 first-season range as the rest of our service area, and returning seasons cost less because the strands are already cut and stored. The quote is itemized, so nothing is hidden in it.
